1. Don’t eat supper
2. Think happy thoughts
3. Sleep early
4. Don’t do anything weird before bed (whatever freaks you out or something)
5. Don’t watch scary films/shows/read scary books
6. Empty your mind if possible
7. Think of that hot girl/guy you wanna make out with (singles only)

All this cos I had a goddamned nightmare last night. Bah.

“Money is the root of all that kills.”

*Burp*

Did supper with Beng, Jia and the girls. And, as usual, haven’t laughed so hard for a while now. (Ok, at least not since the chalet which ended last Friday.)

Apologies for the sporadic updating of the site. My days have been packed with activities since my departure and return from Taipei. Well, perhaps I can just summarize some here. =)

5 May (Sat) to 13 May (Sun):

Should be quite well-known by now. My 9-day trip to Taipei and Taichung, and described in Formosan Adventure Parts I, II and III. Read them if you haven’t. Also check out my photos, all 800 of them. :)

18 May (Fri) to 20 May (Sun):

Chalet over at Costa Sands Pasir Ris with the Jabs. I helped with the setup and grocery shopping, plus equipment supply, that explains my absence. The first night was the most memorable, cos for that night only, the girls weren’t around and it was an all-guy affair. We had a late night BBQ and long chats reliving the old days, as well as whisky cokes all round.

Ok, so when the ladies came over, it wasn’t boyland anymore, but well, it is after all another dimension. I stayed for the first night, but went home with ms wan on this second night, around 1am. Old lah, cannot take the toll of going without sleep for two continuous days.

10am of day 3, helped with moving the stuff back. KR came over to rest before Reubs came to get us for the match in the afternoon. A spot of bad luck saw us lose 0-1. Crap. But in all a fruitful weekend.

It took me a while to get over the trip.

23 May (Wed) to 25 May (Fri):

Chalet 2, with the ‘family’. This was cosy from the start, cos it was only the few of us. 2 days, 2 BBQs. Chief cook and fire starter was Jia, and we also did the second day’s marinating. But kudos must go to Tee’s bro, who prepared everything we could imagine we might need at the chalet for the BBQ and for normal service.

Mahjong was the order of the day, as almost everyone who went managed to pick it up by the end. I didn’t stay overnight, rather I made the 10-min walk home everyday.

Fun.

Today I went for my medical. Certified fit and ready for work. Blah.

25 June is approaching. :P

Daily rides (from May 15 till today):
15/5 - 2824C (81), 970G (21)
16/5 – 7417L (12), 808M (358)
22/5 – 7331A (12), 7444H (12)
23/5 – 9354X (12)
25/5 – 3588C (354), 663M (359), 1726J (81), 7306Z (21)
26/5 – 7443K (21), 3611T (358)
28/5 – 987D (21), 7307X (21), 7337J (12), 3705G (38), 9413J (31)

Cameo watch (from May 15):
NAC Scanias like 3610X (SP/354) and 3611T (SP) have been appearing on 358, which has an FAC perm fleet. 1747Z (32) has cameoed on 9, 18 and 518. CAC Scanias like 3708Z (SP), 3640J (SP) and 3722G (SP) have also appeared on 359 in the past 2 weeks. 3666K (45) also appeared on 12, presumably to replace 3691L (17) as the PM x-over from 17.

Plugging holes left by perms going on service runs? Or just preparing for the entry of the K230UBs?

Continued from Parts I & II…

I do apologise for the delay! Been away at a chalet since wednesday, and haven’t had the time to finish up this final part. So here I am, back at home and ready to write up the last part of the Formosan Adventure I had two weeks ago.

The green lines annotate the areas visited on days 7-9.

Continued from part I…

When I concluded part I, we had just completed day 3’s activities, which included a visit to the CTV studios to watch the live filming of Guess Guess Guess, and a visit to the snake restaurants and Huaxi Night Market. So, as a summary, I’ve included a map which shows the first three days and the next three days’ worth of travelling we did.

Taiwan Map
The first three days’ worth are marked in red, while the subsequent three days’ worth are marked in blue.

When the hangover finally passed, there was a chalet with the guys over at Costa Sands, which kinda explains why it took so very very long for me to finally post on the trip.

So, here it is!

Ilha Formosa

Hola. Home from the grad trip to Taiwan! Its been close to 10 days since the last post, and well, I had a smashing time over in the city of our favourite variety programmes! Took a load of pictures (not going to show them all) and some cool vids, of course, and took in the sights, sounds and tastes of the city. Even went to the ktv there.

PHWOAR.

Ok this is just a pre-post. More updates soon (with pictures of the scenery of course, and not forgetting their public transport!)

After all, this is Trainspotting, isn’t it? =)

Ok I won’t be in town for the next week or so, so no updates unless somehow I manage to get a random connection somewhere.

Seeya!

Cameo watch: 7442M (SP) on 21, 3610X (SP/354) on 358 for the second day!

Daily rides: 7442M (21), 3610X (358) –> rides on cameos today. Heh.

Buses nowadays very noisy lah.

People talk on handphone like no one is around them.

People talk to each other like they’re 200km away.

Mobile phones nowadays play music like nobody’s business.

The music some people listen to is….undescribably crap.

Buses are getting older so the engines are noisier. But the noise is drowned out by the above.

BAH. Get some earphones, cheapos.

Cameo watch: 3862K (CT8/268) was on 53, and two Scanias – 3640J (SP) and 44A (33) were on 518. 1818C (SP) appeared on 109, and 9337X (2) was on 81. Two NAC Scanias appeared on the Townlinks today, 3610X (SP/354) on 258 and 3611T (SP) on 359.

Daily rides: 2815D (81), 9528L (81)

(Warning: Picture-intensive. Do not view with slow connection!)

Yep, I finally did it. Ok so it was quite ad-hoc (yeah right! I planned in advance!) but well, I really travelled around Singapore today. So here’s my route (in black, duh..)

So, enjoy my re-creation of my journey :)
